It is not my intention to doubt that the doctrine of the Illuminati and the principles of Jacobinism had not spread in the United States. On the contrary, no one is more satisfied of this fact than I am.
I gave it as my opinion... that if these societies were not counteracted... they would shake the government to its foundations.
Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports... Honesty is always the best policy.
