The third quote does not exactly bear on our subject, but is here as it interestingly points to the only ultimate solution - a change of Man's heart. Something only the Israelite and Christian scriptures said God would (and did) provide in the New Covenant made by the blood of the Christ: "I will take out your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh."
